There will be about 8 cases of hard liquor, including my absinthe collection.

18 pack vs. 12pack ?

I can really " consume mass quantities " when the summer sun sets in GA.
I really like to have about 12 to 15 beers, at the end of the day, but most softies only buy a twelve pack, and drink only 8 to 10?

The way i figur it? if i do two or three guys work? I can drink that much more beer?
And I'm of german and Scotish blood?
I certainly ain't gonna listen to Dr Phil?

* Eat right! Make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies.-
* Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin c.
* Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system.
* Walk for at least an hour a day, go for a swim, take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.
* Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them, keep a bottle of
* Antibacterial stuff around.
* Get lots of fresh air. Open windows whenever possible.
* Get plenty of rest.
* Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.

OR ... You can take the doctors office approach. Think about it, when you go for a shot, what do they do first? Clean your arm with alcohol.

Why? Because alcohol kills germs.

So......

* I walk to the liquor store (exercise),
* I put lime in my Corona (fruit),
* Celery in my Bloody Mary (veggies),
* Drink on the bar patio (fresh air),
* Get drunk, tell jokes, and laugh (eliminate stress)
* And then pass out (rest.)

The way I see it, if you keep your alcohol levels up flu germs can't get you!!!

Ah, thanksgiving, that most wonderful of holidays devoted to excess. Too much food, too much family and (often because of the previous entry) too much booze. How do all you drinking girls (and boys who try to keep up) plan to imbibe tomorrow?

I'm bringing a French Pinot to drink with dinner. Before dinner my drinking gal and I are making cocktails for the party using cranberry infused vodka as a chief ingredient. We're also making fresh bourbon and gingers (it's the ginger that's fresh) and champagne cocktails. Hopefully Dad will be in a good mood. He's a happy drunk when he starts happy, and a grumpy one when he starts grumpy.

I've been drinking Agwa lately, and I've come to enjoy it.

I think my favorite way is straight shots from a frozen bottle. Ok, so it doesn't actually freeze, but it does turn thick and syrupy. It also gets kind of milky green, like an Absinthe louches when you add water.

I've also decided I like mixing it with sweetened lime juice in a salted glass. That has led me to speculate that it would probably go really well with a margarita mix.

Agwa is a herbal liquour that comes from Holland. It is flavored with cocoa leaf.

I get mine at BevMo.

Why Pucker is more than just a verb...

Yeah, sure. All those Puckers out there can be a bit sissy-ish.
But they make a great flavoring for vodka. Now I realize that my camping buddies are not as descriminating as most normal folks who drink in bars instead of horse pastures,
but if you just learn to lower your standards a little (ok - maybe a LOT)
you could appreciate what a hint of apple pucker does to cheap box wine.
AWESOME. After three days of Pucker and wine, Pucker and vodka, Pucker and gin (iffy, but interesting) and pucker with hard cider, it does cause my mouth to break out in sores.
Maybe it's too acidic or something. Doesn't stop me though, 'cause I DO love that Jolly Rancher flavor. My favorite flavors are Apple and Peach. The peach is new, here, and I think it ROCKS!
I'm drinking it now (Apple pucker and Vella boxed white wine), so I guess I just feel like it's time to proclaim my love...
The only thing I can't take, though, is pucker straight.
TOOOOOOOO sweet.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Reuters) - Texas has begun sending undercover agents into bars to arrest drinkers for being drunk, a spokeswoman for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission said on Wednesday.

The first sting operation was conducted recently in a Dallas suburb where agents infiltrated 36 bars and arrested 30 people for public intoxication, said the commission's Carolyn Beck.

Being in a bar does not exempt one from the state laws against public drunkenness, Beck said.

The goal, she said, was to detain drunks before they leave a bar and go do something dangerous like drive a car.

"We feel that the only way we're going to get at the drunk driving problem and the problem of people hurting each other while drunk is by crackdowns like this," she said.

"There are a lot of dangerous and stupid things people do when they're intoxicated, other than get behind the wheel of a car," Beck said. "People walk out into traffic and get run over, people jump off of balconies trying to reach a swimming pool and miss."

She said the sting operations would continue throughout the state.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute .
Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have beer
(more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755 ....
If you haven't, add 1754.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have beer each week).

The next two numbers are

Why I Hate Thanksgiving!!!

Many, many reasons!! 1) I end up doing all of the cooking, because the night before was a drunk night for many in my house. 2) The simple fact that we all have great expectations for this holiday, and it always falls short. 3) The text messaging on my cell phone is acting goofy today!! 4) Memories. I'm going to Vegas this weekend and will be drinking a lot of shots of tequila and watching a lot of sunrises....

2 1/2 oz white tequila
4 oz of orange juice
1/4 oz grenadine

pour the tequila and oj into an ice-filled highball glass; stir briefly. pour the grenadine directly into the center of the drink.... yummee and so pritty.

You've had 4 cups of coffee, a gallon of water, 3 iced teas and a diet coke--- yet you havn't peed once.

Four Star Hangover (****)
Life sucks. Your head is throbbing. You can't speak too quickly or else you might puke. Your boss has already lambasted you for being late and has given you a lecture for reeking of booze. You wore nice clothes, but that can't hide the fact that you only shaved one side of your face. For ladies, it looks like you put on your make-up while riding the bumper cars.
Your eyes look like one big red vein, and even your hair hurts. Your sphincter is in perpetual spasm, and the first of about 5 craps you take during the day brings water to the eyes of everyone who enters the bathroom.

Five Star Hangover (*****)
You have a second heartbeat in your head, which is actually annoying the employee who sits in the next cube. Vodka vapor is seeping out of every pore and making you dizzy. You still have toothpaste crust in the corners of your mouth from brushing your teeth ia an attempt to get the remnants of the poop fairy out.
Your body has lost the ability to generate saliva so your tongue is suffocating you. Any attempt to defecate results in a fire hose like discharge of alcohol-scented fluid with a rare floater' thrown in.
The sole purpose of this 'floater' seems to be to splash the toilet water all over your ass. Death sounds pretty good about right now....

My sister paid me for babysitting when I was 13 by buying me alcohol. I know, that's not very cool, but she's 6 years older than me and knew how sheltered I was. Anyway, since I was 15 I've been able to outdrink many people, including "experienced" guys in their mid twenties to late twenties.

I don't drink as often now, but when I do people are amazed that someone as small as I am can drink so much and still act pretty normal. I can outdrink my fiance and his alcoholic brother. Beer, whiskey, tequila......mixed drinks. Whatever. So now I don't do it all the time, but I still got it!

My sister let me have some friends over when I was 16. I drank so much, but I did not puke or pass out. I guess the jeans I was wearing had a faulty zipper, and I kept asking my sister for help. So, my lovely sister told me to take them off. I did. Then put them back on. I guess the whole night she kept going "why don't you take your jeans off, jess?"

I was so horrified the next day! My friends teased me forever about it! My fiance was there, although we were just friends at the time, and he still gives me crap for it.

Oh I have so many more!

2 1/2 oz vodka
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz grenadine
lomon twist for garnish

Pour the vodka, lemon juice, and grenadine into a shaker two thirds full of ice cubes. shake well. strian into a rushed ice filled highball. add the twist. enjoy!

Who needs a sommelier? A "talking" wine label could soon tell consumers in Italy everything they want to know about a particular bottle -- from its production history to the kind of food it should accompany.

"The idea is to bring the oenologist to the table so that each wine can explain itself in the first person," said Daniele Barontini, whose Tuscan company Modulgraf is putting the final touches on the product to be launched in November.

"We envision our talking wine label in restaurants, wine stores and at vineyards that offer wine tasting," he told Reuters Wednesday.

The new "label" would consist of a chip implanted in the bottle that could be listened to with a small device about the size of a cigarette package in the wine shop or the restaurant.

"It could tell you how to enjoy the wine, where it came from, everything you'd hear from a sommelier," Barontini said. "You could even have music."

He said producers of some of Italy's finest wines, like Brunello, had already expressed interest.

Modulgraf, a company specialized in wine labels and products aimed at preventing counterfeit, plans to launch the "talking wine label" -- which still doesn't have an official name -- at Milan's prestigious wine fair in November.

The label was patented by German engineer Florentin Doring, who works with Modulgraf. It could also help prevent counterfeiting, say its creators.

Hello all... this tribe is right up my alley. I have a medal of honour for drinking 6 guys under the table at a may24 (Victoria Day Weekend) party in 1999. The competition was to see whom could drink a 24 the fastest without tossing your cookies... 7 hours later I was the only one standing (sortof)... and i won the medal and 200 bucks.

This happened by accident when we were trying a new Jello shooter recipe. I've modified it slightly so it's a real cocktail.

Have ready:

Grated fresh ginger root
Puree of kiwi fruit and honeydew melon

Place in your blender:

Crushed ice
1 oz. tequila
1/2 oz. Midori
2 oz. sweet and sour
1/4 oz. grated ginger root
1 1/2 oz. kiwi-and melon puree

Blend to the desired consistency and serve in a Hurricane glass with chunks of liwi and honeydew on a cocktail sword..

Pour over a spoon to acheive three layers (it looks rad if you do it right)

Bottom Layer: Kahlua

Middle Layer: Midoori Melon

Top Layer: Bailey's Irish Cream

I know, it sounds nasty, but I've whipped this recipe out in bars and gotten free drinks for introducing it. You couldn't go all night on these, but I've actually downed 4 straight before without any sugar-booze-type after effects. Every bartender I met in Australia could whip these up.

How many times have you woken up in the morning after a hard
night of drinking and thought 'How did I get home?'

As hard as you try, you cannot piece together your return
journey from the bar to your home.The answer to this puzzle is that you used a beer scooter.
The beer scooter is a mythical form of transport, owned and
leased out to the drunk by Bacchus the Roman god of wine. Bacchus has
branched out since the decrease in the worship of the Roman pantheon and bought a
large batch of these magical devices. The beer scooter works in the
following fashion:

The passenger reaches a certain level of drunkenness and the
"slurring gland" begins to give off a pheromone. Bacchus (or one of his
many sub-contractors) detects the pheromone and sends down a winged
beer scooter. The scooter scoops up the passenger and deposits them
in their bedroom via a trans-dimensional portal. It is not cheap to run
a beer scooter franchise, so a large portion of the passengers
in-pocket cash is taken as payment.

This generates the second question after a night out: 'How did
I spend so much money?'

Beer scooters have a poor safety record and are thought to be
responsible for 90% of all UDI (Unidentified Drinking Injuries). An
undocumented feature of the beer scooter is the destruction of time
segments during the trip. The nature of trans-dimensional portals dictates that
time will be lost, seemingly unaccounted for.

This generates the third question after a night out: 'What
happened?'

With good intentions, Bacchus opted for the EMIT (Embarrassing
Moments In Time) add on, that automatically removes, in descending order,
those parts in time regretted most. Unfortunately one person's EMIT is not

How much can you drink and remain functional and coherent? I personally seem to pull the SAT words out of my ass the more I drink; drunk posting is proof of what I always knew--I am articulate way past my ability to remember, lol.

I have never passed out in public; and I don't know if you can count it as passed out if you manage to get your clothes off and get into the bed...so maybe I've never passed out. I have hurled; usually when I'm stuck on a train rocking back and forth and back and forth for 30 minutes, lol, or when I mix some 420 with the alcohol.

Why aren't any of y'all closer?? I just got done pounding 30 packs of natural ice and 40's of 211 in the desert for 4 weeks... my tolerance is pretty fucking good at this point... I could use a challenge with some good beer around here... or at least some drinking buddies :)

So i went out with a guy from myspace...ya, problemo numero uno. Anyway--we went out nice guy, however, wow....find me a man who can throw back a few. Had a horrible day needed an outlet. So we go out for drinks I order my martini, so does he. Than i finish mine he still has 1/2 of his, he sips a little more, and moves onto the next one. I finish martini numero duo, and he still has 1/2 of his 2nd left. Ugh. Date ends. I go home to drink some wine by myself.
